This test uses a sample taken from a throat swab to detect the nucleocapsid proteins from streptococcal group A bacteria, commonly known as strep throat. Test results will be made available via email and our patient portal. Depending on the volume of tests being performed that day, this can take as little as 15 minutes or until the end of the day.
