This RT-PCR test uses a sample taken from a nasal swab to detect RNA and determine whether or not you are CURRENTLY infected with the SARS-CoV-2 virus, influenza A, influenza B or Respiratory Syncytial Virus (RSV). It determines whether or not you are CURRENTLY infected with the SARS-CoV-2 virus, influenza A, influenza B or RSV. It is also known as a molecular test, nucleic acid amplification test (NAAT), RT-PCR test and a LAMP test. Test results will be made available via email and our patient portal. Depending on the volume of tests being performed that day, this can take as little as 45 minutes or until the end of the day.
