This RT-PCR test uses a sample taken from a throat swab to detect RNA and determine whether or not you are CURRENTLY infected with strep throat (Streptococcus dysgalactiae (Group C/G Strep) or Streptococcus pyogenes (Group A Strep)) and/or a wide range of respiratory viruses and bacteria, including Adenovirus, multiple Coronaviruses, SARS-CoV-2 (COVID-19), Influenza A, Influenza B, Parainfluenzas, Respiratory Syncytial Virus (RSV), Human metapnemovirus (hMPV), rhinovirus/enterovirus, two types of pneumonia, and more. A second sample taken from a nasal swab to detectthe nucleocapsid protein from SARS-CoV-2 and determine whether or not you are CURRENTLY infected with the SARS-CoV-2 virus. Test results will be made available via email and our patient portal. Depending on the volume of tests being performed that day, this can take as little as 30 minutes or until the end of the day.
