This RT-PCR test uses a sample taken from a nasopharyngeal swab to detect RNA and determine whether or not you are CURRENTLY infected with a wide range of respiratory viruses and bacteria, including Adenovirus, multiple Coronaviruses, SARS-CoV-2 (COVID-19), Influenza A, Influenza B, Parainfluenzas, Respiratory Syncytial Virus (RSV), Human metapnemovirus (hMPV), rhinovirus/enterovirus, Bordetella parapertussis and pertussis (whooping cough), two types of pneumonia, and more. Test results will be made available via email and our patient portal. Depending on the volume of tests being performed that day, this can take as little as 30 minutes or until the end of the day.
